Communication Lead (from Houston, TX)
Julie has been an active TxFVN member since its inception. She is a strong advocate for family voice, not only in Harris County, where she has been an integral part of their system of care efforts through the years, but nationally (she was featured in 2018 by SAMHSA during their national Children’s Mental Health Awareness effort). She has also been involved with state disproportionality efforts through the years.
As the Communication lead, Julie oversees the TxFVN Communication Workgroup, which has been instrumental in developing TxFVN’s leadership tip sheets, brochure, and promotional materials.
